CONTACT US

I can be contacted by calling 360-219-5536 or via email at GoldenReserve1@aol.com.  Please feel free to leave a message, I WILL return your call even if I don't have puppies available at the moment.  You may have to cut and paste the email address, I've heard that it doesn't work with all computers.

My target customer base are families looking for outstanding companions, service dogs or therapy dogs.  I do not sell puppies to breeders that I do not personally know and approve of their breeding practices. No exceptions! Therefore, all puppies are sold with limited registration and a spay/neuter contract is required.

Deposits

I get a lot of questions about placing deposits and what that "gets" you.  Deposits are required in order to reserve a puppy and they are non-refundable.  Do your due diligence first and once you're decided that you want me to be your breeder of choice, then you place a deposit.  You are able to place a deposit at any time and specify the sex of the puppy.   You may have a specific litter or time frame in mind, however, the deposit is for the first available puppy of the sex you selected, not a specific mating or litter or timeframe.  Since all the litters are not the same nor priced the same, you always have the right to decline a puppy while maintaining or improving your place in the deposit order.  For example, you've placed a deposit for a female puppy and you're listed as 5th deposit.  You prefer a female puppy with a little color or a fall puppy but the next available female puppy is full English and white in color or is available late spring.  You may decline that puppy while the customers that placed deposits one through four are making independent decisions.  You may retain 5th position or move up the list based on the decisions of those who placed earlier deposits.  However, you will not move down the list because you want to wait for a different litter or time of the year.  Nor will your deposit be refunded if the litter you secretly wanted didn't take or have enough females, you find another puppy closer, sooner or cheaper, etc.  As long as I am breeding and attempting to produce healthy puppies; I am meeting my commitment to my customers.   Basically, once a deposit is placed we're a team and you will continue to be a part of the puppy process until we get the puppy you want in your arms.

Puppy Picking

I will make every effort to keep the website up-to-date so that everyone knows what's going on with the ladies.  Once  a litter is here and doing well, I will be contacting those people who will be getting a puppy from this litter.  The website will be updated with pictures and videos so that you can see how the puppies are developing.  You are welcome to visit by appointment once the puppies are a month old.  Actual puppy picking will be done when the puppies are around eight weeks old and usually on a Saturday.  Each person will have a one hour appointment to spend time with the girls or boys and pick out their canine companion.  Appointments will be in the order of deposits and I ask that every effort be made to be available on Puppy Picking Saturday.  Life sometimes presents challenges and we can generally work things out with advance notice.  The most common conflict is a child's sporting event; I recommend that you plan to skip that particular practice or game if you want all your children to participate in the picking process.

What comes with the Puppy?

All puppies will have been loved from the time they were birthed into my waiting hands until they are placed into yours.  They will be handled, snuggled, stimulated and cared for with love and skill.  They will be exposed to as many sights and sounds as safe and possible, will be socialized with other dogs and kids and will be as ready for their new home as possible.  The puppy will have his/her first immunization and will be wormed as needed.  Each puppy will be checked individually with special attention to heart sounds.  A healthy puppy is easy to see with the naked eye, however, the vet check focuses on healthy hearts.
An individual health record is also provided for you and your vet.  Litters will be registered with AKC and you can obtain an AKC registration form upon proof of spay or neuter.
